Whats the plan boss?
Ladies and gentlemen, the unthinkable has happened, America has voted the democrats into congress. Hence the new name of this blog. Some things we have not seen since the last election is Republicans vowing to oppose the new majority. The 04 election all we heard was democrats describing themselves as the "opposition party" and it would seem America has rewarded them for it. I'm sure buyers remorse will set in well before 08 as it did in Regan's second term.
It is interesting how history repeats itself, some other Presidents who lost seats in their sixth year are as follows: Franklin D. Roosevelt,Dwight Eisenhower,John F. Kennedy/Lyndon,Richard Nixon/Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan. In fact the only two termer who didn't loose seats his second term was Clinton, he lost his after two years in office. The Cold war is now replaced with the war on terror and the left is once again suggesting we back out. I remember when Regan's congress suffered loses the Democrats rejoiced, soon they would have the Presidency. Bush Sr. won in a landslide. Hopefully this repeat of history will continue.
So for two years the Democrats have announced "We are ready to lead". Now is your chance . I am an objective person, if the new majority has some plans lets hear them. Plan for Iraq? I googled it and came up with nothing except they don't like Bush's plan. That may have sailed when they were the minority but now they have to come up with something. As a closing note, if the new democrat plan for Iraq includes the words "We need a plan" then it is in fact not a plan at all is it?

You are right we do need a plan, but you may be being a bit impatient. They just got started. give them more time. Any plan that the Dems come up will be better than the one Bush has.
So when the dems said "we have a new plan for Iraq" what they meant to say was put us in and we will wing it.
You're right Rusty...murder innocent people and line your pockets along the way...oh yea, tell the people God told you to do it as well...He's on YOUR side!
I'm not worried who gets in ever, at the end of the day...every one of us will be held accountable for all we did, thought, said or didn't do, thought or said.

Don't you think the Republicans' loss was just a little in part due to the gluttonous corruption, e.g. Delay et al.?
The Republican culture of corruption kida fizzled toward the end. Folley didn't help but for every corrupt Republican the Dems had one on their side of equal crimes. The only difference is most of the Dems got reelected such as Congressman William Jefferson, and Gerry Studds(past congressman). Both of whom received standing ovations after surviving their scandal.
I guess logically we are only left with two theories. One, scandals don't matter. Two, Republicans have to live up to a higher standard than democrats. Both are logically sound but only one can be true.
Well spoke just tell God about Romans 13 and everything should be ok.
that's a fun (is fun the right word...probably not) comic.
Let's use the word creative instead.
It'll be VERY interesting to see what happens in Iraq in the next 6 mos. and then in the long term.
